La Silla is recognized as one of the most iconic equestrian sites in the world, with a great tradition and history.
In 1990 our founder Alfonso Romo Garza, revolutionized the equestrian industry in Mexico, with one idea in mind: to elevate the sport of equestrian jumping in the country.
Today La Silla has its own horse registry, Studbook La Silla, as well as one of the most advanced veterinary clinics in Latin America, and two annual international show jumping competitions:
CSI 5
A five-star international show jumping competition with equestrian legends - more than 500 horses and riders from around the world compete at the highest level for the biggest prize in Mexico and one of the biggest in the Americas. In addition to the individual sporting events the CSI5* features a team competition with riders from the TOP world ranking of Major League Show Jumping offering over $6 MDD in prize money .
